Australia is a country I often dreamt about when I was younger, the movies I watched and friends that visited always made it sound like paradise.
I dreamt about the beaches, the sun, the hot guys and surfing, even though I had never surfed before.
I was lucky to study journalism at a university in London, City University, that did an exchange for up to a year with an Australian university, UTS. I applied without thinking twice and fortunately got in. I lived there for six months and without a doubt I can say it was the best time of my life.
Australia turned out to be everything I had imagined and a lot more. It is a country I could easily go and live in.
